unpopular opinion: John W. might have not been the greatest dad in the world, but I think he did what he thought best under given circumstances (both Sam and Dean have said this themselves at one point I think).

agree. but ahh it's complicated. 

i have a weirdly personal and conflicted opinion of john that's hard to explain. I recognize his horrible life choices and that he was a bad father but I also think he was a good man to whom very bad things happened. and I really hate when people forget that he was a victim too so yeah I don't really trust how most people handle this character so I talk to very few people about him sighs. idk man.
