“Thank you, m’lady” he states, his voice deep and rumbling but thundering in the silence of the court hall, he sees with the corner of his eye Daenerys flinching because he has backhandedly spurned her again, as he has used the same very form of the title for his woman that she has used to try and trap him. Let them know, he is besotted with her. And that means he will anything to protect her and unimaginable things a man dead once before is capable of doing to protect his woman and the child she bears in her womb.
Then he simply leans forward to press a kiss, chaste — more chaste than he’d like, but he does not mean the entire court hall to hear his woman’s mewls and purrs as they are for his ears alone — upon her lips. There is a small coronet of diamonds across her red hair, he has gifted it to her and he is glad she has decided to wear it because as he steps away from her to sit on his own throne observing each and every look they are receiving from foe and friend alike, to gauge their reaction and learn of their motivations, they must pose indeed as royal parents to be — proud and strong — him and his she-wolf. His flamewolf.
