As for the fight, I'm relieved it was my biggest challenge of the last two months of work! I finally got to show what a badass mom is!

As for Tobias, in another life, he could have been a comedian, a job rather compatible between his temperament and his gift.

UPDATE THOUGHTS

as someone who has written a senior thesis I have so many thoughts about this update

I wish I could’ve given my professor a pie as a draft

I don’t even like making pies and that would’ve been nice

Maybe I could’ve found a science fiction story featuring women from between 1955 and 1975 where there was a pie, and made a pie, and analyzed how my action of baking as a woman was performative of gender?

These are the kind of reaches you make when you’re writing a thesis

My thesis taught me that I don’t actually like science fiction that much. It was a thesis about science fiction. 

I hope for Bitty’s sake that he doesn’t get tired of pie while making his thesis

who am I kidding that’s impossible

Can I just tell all of the people who are not seniors in college one piece of advice? 

If you don’t have to do a senior thesis, don’t do a senior thesis!

don’t be a little nerd who thinks “oh this will be fun and challenging! I don’t think I’ll do grad school but this will give me a taste of it!”

No. You don’t want to go into debt and you don’t want to be a professor, so you don’t want to get a master’s in English or god forbid a doctorate. You want to get a 9 to 5 that gives you health insurance and enough time to write your novel on the weekends and at night

This is an accurate depiction of how difficult it is to make yourself write a senior thesis

thoughts on chapter 6 of hero

it’s kinda late but whatevs it’s never too late to thirst for kenji i mean what

you know i almost gave up on hero because i Love superheroes and the heroes rise trilogy + spin-off really set the bar for me (it’s such a wonderful series guys, i love it sO MUCH i can’t even begin to explain how amazing it is!!)

so the slow-start, forced/rushed romances & diamond-mongering got me incredibly disappointed... but i’m glad i didn’t give up because YO

sPEAKING OF, i was a lil disappointed that they didn’t stretch out the identity porn between mc and kenji/talos (this doesn’t mean actual porn btw its the term used when two superheroes don’t know of each other’s dual-identities & either romcom or angsty shenanigans happen)

buuut the way they found out was super cute?? i love how kenji recognized mc’s voice when mc said his name... boy must’ve commited the memory of mc saying his name to memory how adorable

Really enjoying how Mike and Lucy are both isolating themselves from their closest support in order to allow others to socialize without them and are treating this as a "good" paradigm. They've both relegated themselves to looking on from a distance, prioritizing others' social needs at their own expense without communicating about what they're experiencing.
