At times, you will have to move your website content from one domain to another. The domain name changes. The website content remains the same.
In such a case, you will want to keep all the posts, images and links maintained. The images should be embedded using the new domain name URL. The posts should have links to the new domain.
Just changing the WordPress domain in the settings doesn’t do it. You’ll have to update the posts as well. It’s close to impossible to do it manually. Thankfully we have the Velvet Blues Update URLs WordPress plugin. There might be others that can do the same job but we recommend this one.
