Ares & Nike
In the beginning before demonic and angelic kingdoms was the Celestials. A unified utopia - or so the legends and myths say.
It was ruled by Kindred couple Namaah and Adnai, their lead their people from the Chimera Wilds and set up a new home in the untamed lands beyond. A place barren of beings and animals - a place made ready for Celestials. When Namaah and Adnai died they were defied as Mother and Father, their words taken as gospel. Their graces married to the land to keep their children safe and cared for.
When Namaah and Adnai grew old they chose 7 Oecrimi successors to split their power across the land. They did not want a monopoly and it was said as long as the kingdoms stood all would be fine.
They snubbed their own kin Aidon and Kore, ignoring the poverty and struggle they grew up in. Aidon and Kore were told they should be grateful for these experiences. A life spent in struggle would give them an appreciation for the finer things. It would bring them closer to The Zmei and Aeons that inhabited the stars.
The poverty and struggle gave Aidon and Kore no such feelings. When they found each other - orphaned and alone they found a mirror of their pain and fury.
In each other they found the faith to keep going. They would make the Celestials all bend to them and if not they'd break it all apart. Raze it all to the ground to build their birthright up again.
Kore's brother was horrified at her ambition, at her hatred of their aunt. He dedicated his life to stopping her, trying to prepare his descendents for her attacks.
He married into one of the families chosen by Namaah and Adnai to rule their children. He created alliances and soldiers to aid him against his sister. He held out hope Kore would see the error of her ways, that she would aid him against Aidon. That the holy warriors he had made would be lead by her - but she broke every hope he held for her. And every decade she remained dormant less and less of his kin believed in his mad words.
But Zohar will not give up, he will cling to this world for as long as it will take to save it from them.
Zohar & and his mate Azariah. Azariah's family was targeted and slaughtered by other Oecrimi who were furious they hadn't been chosen by Namaah and Adnai. Only her and her brother survived the massacre. She hoped to never seen any more violence in her lifetime - so the deaths of her sons hit her hard. Her eldest son massacred in an similarly eerie way to her own family nearly made her fade.
Aidon & Kore who in modern times go by various names. Their most recent are Ares & Nike, but they have human ones as well - Alexsander & Nikoletta. They don't just want to rule, they want to a peace that will never end - regardless of what others wish.
@silentwcrds - Here's the Canon! Let me know if it works! Zohar becomes the Apparant to human colonies/in later canon to hide from Aidon and Kore. 🙃
