They had spent the whole day together. Upiu was so happy to play with both his moms for an entire day, until one of them has to say goodbye again. This time it was Fuji´s turn to take care of their little gold berry. Tired and ready for sleeping, the two women are sitting on their son´s bed and read him his bedtime story. When Mina bows down to Upiu to give him a kiss, his little voice asks one last question for the day.
“Mommy? Why do you never kiss Mama? Mama needs a good night kiss, too!”
Surprised Mina looks at Fuji, before she begins to laugh embarrassed.
“Upiu … Honey! Well, I already told you last time that I … uh, that I give Mama her good bye kiss later. Always when you are already sleeping and I need to go home! Otherwise it wouldn’t be a good bye kiss, right?” She was obviously lying to the kid. Mina and Fuji never really had shared a kiss, well at least not after their son was born. And this little valentines ‘experiment’ wasn’t really counting, right? But she definitely never told Fuji about this little lie she already told their smart cookie of a son a few times before, so Mina grins a wide embarrassed smile at the women on the other side of the bed, eyes pleading for help.
“NOOOO!!!”, the boy cries, before he looks at Fuji. “I wanna see it! Please, Mama! You need a good night kiss, too!”
But Mina interrupts him harshly! “Upiu! Stop yelling! Maybe another time, but now you have to sleep! Mama and I will have our talk and then I´ll say goodbye, ok? I will call you tomorrow, honey.”
