citizens of belgrade cut the sns party banner hung on the facade of palace albanija that prevented the protected alpine swifts from reaching their nests. the banner was set up on the 28th of may and all day yesterday (29th of may) ornitologists, ecologists, biologists and citizens alike have been calling and protesting for the removel of the banner after seeing distressed birds swarm the banner and the windows on other sides of the building desperately trying to reach their nests. after the goverment refused to answer the citizens took matters into their own hands leading to several arrests. the institute for nature protection has organized teams to hand feed the alpine swift youngs in order to protect the bird population in the city
