Marci did, in fact, cry and ask for her mom for a while but since Lucy wasn’t around a lot anyways, she adjusted to not seeing her especially since her new dad seemed really nice and fun, and played with her more than her mom

It was pointless of her to be upset. She had known from the start her boyfriend didn't actually like her, and she didn't expect anything serious but still. Basic respect would have been nice.

So here she was, about two months into a relationship, on her way to his place when she spotted him flirting with another girl, far prettier and more confident than she could ever hope to be.

Dawn didn't know whether it was better to walk past him without a care in the world, or go pick a fight to be petty.
