miss-ingno replied to your post: ok ok so i just had a thought. what if instead of...
I love that I can just ramble at you about this :D also Jeremy and Ryan would’ve totally assumed that Dan is all glare-y because he’s homophobic too. Not because he’s angry at them for their treatment of Gav (or well, maybe partially. But mostly the first)
Oh yeah, totally. Part of their problem is that they assume that Gavin knows why their mad at him (that whole not talking to each other thing). So if Dan is taking Gavin’s side, it’s because he’s homophobic too and not because they’ve been friends since forever.
Then, he’s fighting with them because their not putting up with his shit (Dan’s only arguing with them because he’s disgusted that they’re gay, of course, Ryan don’t you understand).
They don’t get that Dan is upset at how this fighting is affecting Gavin and how unhappy he looks (he even talks to Gavin about taking a break but of course Gavin wouldn’t’ leave his crew even if they’re being tossers to him)
Since they had never seen Gavin really interacting with anyone (Geoff and Jack are busy, as is Gavin which is why he’s always in his room, and since Michael is getting along with Jeremy, he isn’t getting along with Gavin and any friendship that might be going on is only going on when Jeremy and Ryan aren’t there) they think Gavin is shallow and selfish. Then arrives Dan and he seems to be the same as Gavin, so to Jeremy, the friendship is built on pettiness. They don’t see the deep bond the Brits have. So if they are “friends” and not actual friends, why would they fight for each other?
