Upper Hutt's First Internet Cafe (1999) (via teara.govt.nz)
From 1996 the internet became a more obvious presence in New Zealand life and within a few years many people were regularly accessing it. One sign of this was the spread of internet cafés, where people could send email and surf the web. Cyber Cafe was Upper Hutt's first internet café and opened in June 1999. Shown here on the morning it opened are Ron Hancox, Martin Durham (the manager), and Stephanie Bell.

Bush walk to Birchville Dam, Upper Hutt #NewZealand. Feb. 2017
First post! Our small pop-up container house arrived. We got this house from a New Zealand company called PopUpHome. It requires a little assembly and preparation but it will fold out to be about 3x as big, and has a deck that fits onto the front. There will be more pictures and videos to come documenting the process and our progress turning this piece of land into a permaculture paradise.
Stay tuned!
