Unscheduled Review: United Postal Service (UPS) - not to be confused with the United States Postal Service (USPS)
Stars: 1 out of 5
Customer Service: 1 out of 5 (and this is generous after today’s experience and past experiences)
Ease of Use: Easy to send, Difficult to receive.
Notes: Repeatedly received packages for a different address (South XXX Street when we were North XXX Street - redacted address shown here and streets were clearly marked on the road as being North - six years ago).
Repeatedly told drivers tried to deliver packages but they never stopped at the apartment complex (been going through this for four years).
Have waited outside for up to 8 hours before only to have drive say they attempted delivery and they drove right past without stopping (received severe sunburn as a result and this repeated for three days straight).
Went to avoid another sunburn today by attempting to give directions to tell the driver that secured building door was broke and he could get in, or to see about getting it delivered to the access point half a block down the street... rerouting to the access point would add an extra three days to the delivery when the access point is a half a block down the street and would be the saem truck, and was told in chat that I would have to call between 12 am and 5 am to ive delivery instructions. Ridiculous. Asked about having the package held at the Distro/Customer Service Center, was told it could not be done that there was no Customer Service Center. I asked if I could have the number for the Customer Service Center attached to the Distro, was told no, there was no public number. I knew these were out and out lies, because I’d been toldI could pick packages up at that location before and have them held, and at one time had been given a phone number for the center.
I hopped on facebook to contact UPS and had it arranged within 2 minutes to pick the package up tomorrow morning, at the Customer Service Center a few miles away, was given the phone number, the hours, and the location of the service center.
Contacted via UPS Webpage chat again a little while ago to check the status of the package, which they didn’t have, but they too reiterated the address, phone number, and hours.
The representative did not want to do her job early this afternoon... and they wonder why so many customers complain about their services. I hate dealing with UPS, including and not limited to the reasons stated on this review.
