Logged on to see upsidedownwithsteve has deleted her tumblr. Not going to lie, pretty heartbroken that she’s no longer on here and that we won’t all get to collectively lose our shit every time she drops a new fic on us. I used to check her blog daily, and she was genuinely a big and positive part of my experience on here.
To the awful anons that continued to send her hate: seriously??? Other than showing us that you were painfully jealous and bitter, what was the point? Of all the things you could be spending your time doing, and you choose to be hateful.
Hi Luna! I hope you're feeling better! I hope you don't mind me asking, but I was wondering if you know what happened to Emmy's (upsidedownwithsteve)'s blog? I was away all day yesterday and when I went to read one of her fics last night, it asked me for a password? If you don't feel comfortable answering this, I totally understand. She actually just posted something over on AO3, for anyone who was looking and searching (I saw a few people asking yesterday alone). I posted it down below.
It’s unfortunate that people on here are just so nasty. And it’s honestly why you’re seeing the fandom continue to shrink. I don’t really understand what people’s goals are. Other than being mean for the sake of being mean.
You curate your own space, and when you run all the writers off this site, what fandom experience are you going to have left? Think about it.
It makes me not even want to be on this site anymore (I’ve already been limiting my time on, which I’m sure many have noticed). And I’m sure I’m not the only one on here feeling this way as well.
I’d just say check on your favorite authors, because it definitely hurts when one (like Emmy and many others at this point) that we all love gets quite literally run off the site. And I’m sure it also prompts some to reevaluate whether or not this is a safe or fun space anymore.
Especially when this is someone (Emmy) who has always been kind to those around her (myself included), and is running her own business and pregnant. She should be ENJOYING this season, and some people just have literally no sense of decorum or common decency.
Remember that WE ARE ALL HUMANS ON HERE.

I just wanted to post something here because it's honestly effected me. I was quite sad to notice @upsidedownwithsteve is gone from tumblr. For the people that couldn't just not type stuff and chase someone that was such a great writer off the platform you should be ashamed of yourselves. There are some great writers on tumblr and some of them including upsidedownwithsteve was one of the first ones I found writing when i started following stranger things stuff on tumblr. I fell in love with her writing and it really got me into not only reading more and reading actual books, but it also helped inspire me to improve my writing. I hope one day she does come back and graces us with her lovely writings again someday, but until then I hope she is doing okay and i hope she knows that there is far more love for her on this site than hate.
