We celebrate Engineer's Day on September 15 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat RatnaMokshagundamVisvesvaraya.

 Sir M Visvesvaraya became the most inventive civil engineer, economist, statesman in India. As a chief engineer, he constructed Mysore's famous Krishna Raja Sagara Dam.

Further, he was the principal designer in the construction of the flood protection system in Hyderabad.
