It was a good game, laughs were had and wine was drunk. Luckily, Summer wasn't even tipsy this time around.
"ok! How many black cards does everyone have?" Summer piped up at the end of the game, taking a quick drink of her wine
Raven counted her cards and spoke up with a smile "seven."
Qrow was the next to speak up "I only count four."
Tai, with a sigh hung his head down low with two cards held in the air "two."
Summer giggled lightly and raised Ravens hand "Raven won!" She spoke cheerily, letting go of the arm as the clock struck midnight "well team. It's time for bed.. we got a long day ahead of us!" The huntress informed her team as she packed up the game, putting it on to the shelf for next time.
But the next time never came for STRQ. The team never game came back for it, as days cycled in and out, the team grew too busy for it.
Time passed and eventually the door swung open and slammed shut, causing the shelf to shake, the game sliding off of it's slick holding and fall onto the ground.
"oh.. I forgot all about you.." a voice spoke with a shakey tone "we loved you.." Summer sighed, opening the box and taking out a photo of the team laughing over a card Summer played that night "Qrow.. I'm sorry.." the girl spoke quietly, slowly laying a necklace with a tilted cross into the box "I loved you.. but I never told you.. I was scared.."
