This period of time signifies an important stage in the development of your individuality and you’ll rebel against living according to the expectations of other people and society in general. This cycle will occur twice in your life, once in your early twenties and again in your early sixties. If you’re in the first cycle, you’re attempting to make your mark in the world as a distinct individual and are ready to face the world as an adult. Even if you lack the necessary experience, you may branch out on your own or make changes in your life that encourage more independence. You don’t appreciate being told what to do and will often take the opposite course just to prove that you can. If you’re in the second cycle, you may be faced with the possibility of retirement or other changes in your life that allow you more personal freedom. You may initiate some of these changes, but may also be subject to forces completely out of your control. If sudden changes occur, try to see past the disruption and acknowledge the positive effect these events can have on liberating you in some way.
