// Thanks for following ;w; <3 // "I heard that you defy death.. and warp time.. How does that work?" The Marai was utterly curious as she was not that knowledged in various subjects; after all the ocean doesn't have much books to read. "I'm only curious because I never thought such a thing could be done. Apparently you have proven that wrong?" She tilted her head slightly, her eyes soon finding the Zero Drive that he had. "Is that how?"
“Yeah, I bet Death’s pretty pissed at me…”
In all honesty, Ekko had seen more bizarre creatures than the one before him, thanks to the inhumane experiments of Zaunite scientists. Seeing the human/fish hybrid hardly perturbed him, and her curiosity about his pride and joy made him all-too-happy to indulge her. “Time is… loose. Fluid. It’s not as rigid as you might think.”
The boy paused for a moment, trying to better formulate the thoughts in his head into words, one hand idly coming to rest upon the Z-Drive. “..Think of each individual life like a single strand in the thread of time. It tends to follow a specific line, but, it can just-as-easily bend and warp in different directions. And, if you try hard enough, you can fold that thread back on itself. The Zero Drive lets me do just that.”
“It creates a field around me that temporarily displaces me from the flow of time, but I can’t go outside of my own thread, nor can I force it to become longer. My only option, then, is to go backwards along the thread I’ve already created, which lets me change the direction that thread goes. ..This probably all sounds pretty confusing, but, you kinda asked for it.” Ekko shrugged then, figuring that going into further detail would just confuse the girl further.
