I’m just thinking about how much guilt all of the characters in Dracula must feel. Jonathan, for involving Mina in his ordeal in the first place. Mina, for leaving Lucy which made her more vulnerable to the attacks. All of the boys for leaving Mina out of their plans, even though they thought they were protecting her; thereby leaving her alone in the asylum where Dracula came to her.

like the thing about live action remakes is animated movies is like. sure. it might be cool to see your favourite movie performed by real people. but I’m willing to bet 99% of people who are so fucking aggressive about needing a live action tangled or whatever actually give a fuck about the movie or the story or the characters or anything. they just want to see the celebrities that tiktok is telling them are hot in pretty costumes and that’s really it. like i saw someone suggest a live action hunchback of notre dame (which in and of itself is…. let’s bring back critical thinking pls) with TOM HOLLAND AS QUASIMODO AND JENNA ORTEGA AS ESMERALDA. like. can people get their fucking heads out of their asses. if you want something like that so bad stay on fucking tiktok i hate you

the thing that is really getting me pissed about every single animated movie having a live action remake is that traditional 2-d animation is seen as “less than”. like any successful movie that was animated in 2-d cartoon style for some reason is now completely invalid because movies that are 1/4 live action and 3/4 CGI are seen as superior, all good 2-d animated movies NEED a live action version and i really can’t understand why
