SCHOOL UPDATE, long overdue!
I haven't updated Tumblr about what HAPPENED to me in the grad school process! Mainly because I am trifling...I shall be brief:
I was accepted to the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill for MFA Acting! The best part is that the MFA program is free (there are details, but it's basically free) if you are accepted, it comes with a stipend, AND is affiliated with an Equity theatre! This last bit allows the MFA actors to graduate the three year program as member of the Actor's Equity Association. This is amazing and also slightly terrifying, as I need to make sure I can live up to this school's expectations.
I have yet to visit the campus of UNC, but I have heard it is extremely beautiful. Going to school on a beautiful campus has always been a wish of mine, so I'm very glad. I'm also looking forward to little things, like having my own place and living in a new state. The major things I am looking forward to are learning as much about acting and performing as my brain can handle. I am excited for the challenge. I am also excited that, because of the stipend provided, I will not have to work nearly as much as I have been while going to school here in Connecticut.
I'll update you more about UNC as news comes, but I'm for sure going and I feel so blessed to be given this opportunity.
