Okay I finished Otherside Picnic Volume 9... not sure how much I can talk about my feelings but... fuck man the stuff with Runa at the end hit me. I don't know it's nice... seeing Runa like properly grapple with everything? Everything about her just going with the flow, no one *actually* liking her and just being nice to her because they feel like they need to. Her constantly seeking Sorawo's attention through anger. HER TRYING TO GET TORIKO TO SHOOT HER USING THE VOICE, BREAKING HER PROMISE TO SORAWO. It's all... so good, and the point where she let it all out and did the "exorcism" on herself was also incredibly cathartic. I really hope Runa continues to connect with people more, and finds a place she feels like she belongs. She's certainly already getting there with Tsuji, Sorawo, and Toriko kinda, but she def needs more. All such good shit, I hope we see more of her and Tsuji in Volume 10.

Also SoraTori continues to be great, but man am I looking forward to them actually confronting the differing views and opinions they have on their relationship, specially with how clearly Toriko still views it as romantic and Sorawo desperately doesn't want that. I think that'll be important for both of them.
