Yo Yo Honey Singh is all set to reinvent ‘Urvashi’ song of A.R Rahman

Recreation of ‘Urvashi’ by A.R Rahman is on the cards and Yo Yo Honey Singh will be in charge of the song that has been a part of Prabhudeva and Nagma movie Kadhalan in 1994. Trademark moves of Prabhadeva from the song on top of a bus are still fresh in our minds. Therefore, it will hard to match dancing star Prabhudeva on the occasion. It is believed that Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will star in this video. ‘Urvashi’ song will be presented as a single and it will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.

In a statement, Bhushan Kumar has said “The original was an iconic chartbuster and we are rekindling the on-screen magic with Shahid and Kiara as per the tastes of today’s young generation”.  Choreography of the song will be done by Sanjay Shetty. Some of the lyrics from the song have been changed. However, hook line will be retained same. Later on, Kumar has added “The song doesn’t showcase a love story but a new-age relationship between Shahid and Kiara. The choreography is contemporary. Shahid is super excited and looks like a rockstar and Kiara is a fab dancer.”

Right now, Kiara Advani is very excited about featuring on the latest version of this iconic song. However, she is bit nervous at the same time. She has said, “I know the pressure one goes through when a classic song is recreated. There will be comparisons. This could be my ode to Prabhu sir. I am his huge fan.”

About Shahid Kapoor, she has said “Shahid is a great dancer. I was nervous about matching up to his skills, but he was super fun to work with”
