US left is not ready for what it takes to actually break out of imperialism.
They still have imperial mindset of believing they know better than anyone else who is right and who is wrong. And they will be negligent to your region’s unique context trying to prove they are more righteous.
They believe they achieved peace, and protect the weak, without considering the "weak" in question are profiting from colonialism these days.
They believe they are immune to propaganda via picking up propaganda of others.
