A family in Oklahoma City said they would be traumatized for the rest of their lives after federal immigration agents raided their home, even though they are citizens.
The family wished to remain anonymous, but the woman who lives in the home told KFOR that they had moved from Maryland in the last two weeks. A search warrant for the home listed individuals who no longer lived there.
The woman said her family, including three daughters, had moved to Oklahoma in search of a lower cost of living and a slower pace of life.
On Thursday morning, 20 armed federal agents destroyed any sense of comfort by busting through the door. The men identified themselves as agents with the U.S. Marshals, ICE, and the FBI.
"They wanted me to change in front of all of them, in between all of them," she recalled. "My husband has not even seen my daughter in her undergarments—her own dad, because it's respectful. You have her out there, a minor, in her underwear."
"We just moved here from Maryland," the woman added. "We're citizens. That's what I kept saying. We're citizens."
The agents confiscated their phones, laptops, and life savings. The woman was informed that it could take days or months to retrieve the items.
"I told them before they left, I said you took my phone. We have no money. I just moved here," she explained. "I have to feed my children. I'm going to need gas money. I need to be able to get around. Like, how do you just leave me like this? Like an abandoned dog."

John glanced at me as we pulled up to the plane crash. I shook my head as I moved to get out of the car, sharp pain rolling through me. I swallowed thickly, willing the nausea to go away as we grabbed our bags and followed our superiors towards the main base camp.
“you sure you’re alright?” John asked, bumping my shoulder as I struggled to stay upright.
“Just fucking peachy.” I muttered. “If the pain would go away. Then maybe I won’t feel like the next thing I eat will come right back up.” John grimaced before falling back into line. “Remind me to take more painkillers before we get into another van. These roads are shit.” He nodded as we headed into the little shack where the us marshals had gathered. We stood off to the side while everyone else talked.
“might as well take them now.” John said, passing me the bottle. “Give them time to kick in.” I nodded and pulled the water bottle out of my bag to take them. “Keep em. I’ll get another bottle somewhere down the line. You’re gonna need them more than me. Especially this next week or so.”
“that might be the nicest thing you’ve said to me today Royce.” I teased. John smirked at me with a roll of his eyes.
“don’t get used to it.” He shot back. I patted his arm.
“wouldn’t dream of it John.” I winked at him, watching his cheeks turn pink before heading over to meet the head agent of the case.
