Treasury Department set to phase out the penny

The Treasury Department said it placed its final order for penny blanks this month as the U.S. moves to end production of the 1-cent coin.

i went to my local antique mall and picked up these!! ive been wanting a peace dollar for so long, i knew the price was a little inflated but much cheaper than buying one online and having to pay for shipping!

also got my first indian head penny! ive been wanying one of those for awhile and it was so cheap!! very excited to add to my collection

I was going through my late grandfather's collection of old coins and found an interesting one. It definitely feels like a real bronze-copper penny, but it's tail side is completely flattened apart from that one dark spot. My mom says it could be a striking error when the penny was being made.

Anyway i thought it looked neat.
