"It is the people who rule, not the billionaires. We are taking this country back from Elon Musk," raged Senator Chris Murphy.
"They said they would bring someone down. No one came down," said one House Democrat.

My questions lately have been around action. What are we doing to block these assholes, these fascists politically/legally?
And I KNOW! It feels hopeless and it's overwhelming and energy-zapping. It sometimes feels like naivety to think the system will protect us - to think there will be elections. But, fuck it. We gotta fight back. The worst thing to do right now is to go gently into that good night without raging against the dying of the light.
Some of the places I've been looking at for answers, for those of you who might be interested in looking at the same place, are:
1. ACLU (I've been subscribed to their newsletters/updates and volunteering my time for a long time now). They just had a town hall on 2.4.2025 (LINKED) where they shared some of the actions they're taking.
2. AOC's (and similar action-oriented, more transparent politicians') social media postings. She did an IG stream also on 2.4.2025 (LINKED) going over what actions dems are taking as well as giving clear possible action steps for citizens/civilians to take in their communities and state.
3. The US Senate floor proceedings website (LINKED). I tune in if I can, but mostly, I check on the Record Votes and check the Congressional Record if I want to look at things more in-detail. I made sure to mention this step when I wrote to my state senators to let them know I (as well as my very large family - including those who've been historically-republican and those who've abstained, not to mention my immediate community) expected them to stick up for my/our rights when I checked these resources or they could count on us voting against them on the next elections.
4. I've also been keeping the pulse on my state's capitol website. Which I also mentioned in my emails/letters/phone calls to my state senator and representative.
