The confirmed visa application must then be stamped at the Visa Application Centre (VAS). Visa Fees – You would need sufficient funds to pay for your visa. This would need to be made at the time of making your interview appointment. Photos – You would need 1 passport-size photo, either in a digital or hard copy format. Interview – An interview at the U.S Embassy would need to be scheduled well in advance for your trip. You will need to attend this interview and answer the questions presented to you. Passport – Your current passport, with a minimum of six months’ validity (from the date of departure from USA) must be submitted. All of your old passports must also be shown. Printout of the Appointment Letter – You require a printout of the US Interview appointment letter as well. Supporting Documents – These may include tax returns, a travel itinerary,proof of funds (in the form of bank statements, copy of passbook, any other proof of cash), PAN card, or a business card (if you have one). Please note, this list is not exhaustive. You may be asked for extra documents, but this depends on your individual reason of travel/circumstances. It differs from case to case, and can largely depend on what you say in your interview.
