haha.... shit eh... the world is fucked up

that's unfortunately so. it really is disappointing but there's not much we can do about this manga besides not support it.

nevertheless there are other little details we can do to help improve the world like being nice to other people and spreading the word about social issues.

here's an alternative to snk in case you're looking for something to watch/read that has rad action scenes, nice messages, good characters, and the author tries to responsibly portray war:

What's the deal with snk and tumbler? Like a few months ago everyone loved it and now they hate it? I mean really did i miss out on something Im just curious

well when the anime first started releasing it seemed very promising and so it got popular. afterwards as time passed, the manga started to go downhill and most people lost interest. not only did it start to go nowhere, but isayama kind of messed with the characters and their development in way that (in my opinion) was bad. bad writing for the girls as well. let’s not forget the infamous molestation scene he included. a scene the manga could have very well progressed without. it goes as following: armin had to dress up as a girl for some reason and some pervert molested him. it’s gross. eren is also pretty problematic. you would think he would grow up past the idea of revenge and hatred and fight with protecting humanity on his mind, but he is still driven by rage and his relationship with mikasa is abusive (from what i’ve observed). this may have changed since i haven’t kept up with the manga i don’t know, but i doubt it has. and as for the story the plot twists aren’t that great anymore and the art is not that amazing (imo).

secondly, isayama is just a bad person in general. he’s a war crime apologist who says that korenas should thank the japanese for massacring their people because without that happening in history they would not have modernized (i may have the details to this wrong, i am typing what i remember). his character dot pixis is based on yoshifuru akiyama. also, mikasa, a girl who was almost sold into sex slavery was apparently named after a ship who carried korean sex slaves for japanese soliders. that in itself is also gross. recently he also made a disrespectful joke about armin’s gender because he is the most feminine of the guys in the manga. isayama is a gross human being and his work shows it. any person who understands this would stop reading. (about the war crime apologist thing, there’s several sources of information for this floating around on the internet. you can find some by just googling them).

in general, the story has a lot of action to keep you entertained but nothing about it is really great. the concept and plot for snk is cool, but, in my opinion, the wrong person is writing it.

in addition to all this the anime has become very mainstream and the fandom really sucks so it’s just annoying in general.

I appreciate that you're educated on scopophobia but most people's problems with eyes are not anime/cartoon eyes but rather eye balls, close ups of real life eyes, or grotesquely drawn eyes etc. I really doubt anyone who would follow you would have a phobia of anime eyes
