Teammates, I saw this and thought about some of opportunities I thought I should have been given, or promotions I was passed over for. Everything happens for a reason. If your talents aren't appreciated, perhaps it's time to look to where they will be!! I'm happy to say that out of the almost 20 years I've spent in the Army, every opportunity I thought I was passed over for has lead to something else that ended up working out better for my career and family in the long term! The Army Career Managers work hard to do their best to take care of each and every Soldier. When I was working up at Recruiting Command HQ, we did our best to treat each and every Soldier as an individual with their own careers and family requirements. Evey action we took, we had to also consider the 2nd and 3rd orders of effect. We definitely weren't able to make everyone happy, but we tried to focus on what was best for the Army and the Soldier equally. I've started looking at my life after the Army and am excited about what opportunities will be available for me thanks to my 20+ years of service. No training or experience will be wasted in whatever the next chapter of my life will be. #goarmy #goarmyreserve #usarec #usarecfamily #newadventures #choosearmyreserve #wyw #whatsyourwarrior #getsome #soldierforlife (at US Department of Defense Military Entrance Processing Station) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_8dbcqBXuy/?igshid=10cyga2ddj78i
