❝ You really think since I’m out of Blackwell, I won’t go to your Vortex club parties? Dude, you’ve got a big storm coming. ❞

Openly and stupidly, a smear of utter shock stuck around her visage. Scoffing, the idea never occurring to her until he had the nerve to spat out such vulgar statement, so perverted! In sudden wish to react, she finds herself midway partly turned, the urge to respond in clever comeback, & yet, Caulfield thought better of it, taking a step back and took another sip of the much refreshing drink, in hopes to shield the mortification crawling over her cheeks. Pft, Max shook her head in disdain disbelief, almost scoffing by how wry he really can be. What a jerk! He totally has a point though, can't blow their cover, talk is bound to spur attention towards them if they weren't careful-- of course the two weren't friends to begin with and most certainly never going around the borderline of, holding back a gag, of 'significant other'. He'd never see her that way, not that she ever wished, but her? Never her. The cocky bastard is full of himself tonight. She's to admit she misses his remarks, all like before. Well, two can play at this game. An audible buzzing vibration against her thigh, recognizing she's receiving a text no other than Chloe herself, almost grateful to have somewhere to hang for the remainder of the night. All before she caught sight of Nathan once more, wavering her arm high in the air, thrusting the middle finger right at him with her tongue wrung out. Totally catching up to Chloe's signature move. & with that, she slammed the cup down finding the nearest exit. It's what he wanted right? Hopefully, he too gets the message, it's all taunt and she's sure to have fun. Max spent the entire weekend over at Chloe's, longer than usual, having breakfast consisting of Joyce's famous homemade pancakes all before sending her regards, assuring Chloe she could catch the bus to return to campus-- but then she'd be swamped over homework that's due soon, dreading the torment of Blackhell for sure. It wouldn't be a crime and spend the day elsewhere, maybe find a shop of some sort that would catch her attention, curious to explore since it's been much too long since returning from Seattle, so why not? She'd probably find something new. Arms fluttered out, sneakers trodding over the acute curb of the sidewalk, in effort to keep the brunette balanced, aiming to keep up with her own little amusement until she reaches the stop, plenty of time to keep her distracted from school, and Nathan. A firm line formed across her mouth, she shouldn't even be thinking of him, she's doing him a favor by staying away. A small yawn given, pausing, tapping away on her cellphone for a moment before looking up & continuing her way. It's nice to savour the silent wisps of the wilderness, the suns rays emitting warmth and glistening the dew visible on the vast consittitute grass. Home sweet home..

“You’re wrong, by the way. It’s not like that at all.”

❝i would be boring and say the weather is nice this evening, but.. i think you know that already. so, let’s just get to the point.❞
she leans back, folding her arms behind her head.
❝are you ever going to start attending jefferson’s classes again?❞
