Unboxing: The Official Desk Clock!
About four months ago we reported that a few cute little Story of Seasons inspired housewares were going up for pre-order. I wasn't sure if I had much use for any of them myself, but I couldn't resist at least getting one. So I settled on the desk clock! And it arrived today!
The box was incredibly non-descript, being just plain cardboard with a little sticker in the bottom right corner.
After freeing it from its packaging, of which there wasn't much really, the Clock was free. The little blocks for displaying the date, season, and day were in a little ziploc bag.
In spite of having four faces, the season blocks only display two seasons each, while the blocks for the days are divided into weekdays and weekends, with one side of the weekend block being left blank. They support the numbered blocks above them, which display the date. They obviously can't display any four-digit number combination, but you can at least display the important ones.
With a single AA battery slotted into the back and the hands dialed into position, the clock is ready to go! It's simple, it's functional, and it's cute. I adore seeing the little icons by each number, letting me know when it’s time for lunch, read a book, tend the cows, socialize, or go fishing.
It doesn't look like any of UUL's Story of Seasons inspired items managed to not sell out, but if orders ever open again, we'll be sure to make a post about it!
