Finally got rid of that shitty car, the shitty xenophobic and racist team, the stupid ass of an engineer that did nothing but say copy. No more stupid rumors or speculations about a contract that people would pull out their ass. He's free from the hypocrisy of so-called fans of the sport calling for the importance of the mental health of drivers, just for them to continue to bash him day after day on social media. No more opinions from people that hold no real opinion over the sport because it was clear they'd never bothered to even watch the race they were criticizing him about.
He's gotten a ton of posts dedicated to thanking him by his friends, fellow drivers, teams, accounts belonging to grand prix, reporters, etc. This has managed to still piss off people, hilariously enough. He's saying to never give up and to look forward to what is coming next; he's not saying goodbye to F1, just to RBR, and that is what makes me happy with all of this.
I've always said I am a fan of drivers, not teams. And I've always been a fan of Checo, from the years in Sauber, McLaren, Force India, Racing Point, and his 4 years with RBR that allowed him to showcase his talents – he's the minister of defense, the most successful mexican driver in f1 history, subchampion, part of a championship winning team, a key piece to developing working racecars (as seen by just how shit the rb20 turned out because they stopped listening to him since the year prior, a fact Horner has stated), and no one will ever take that away from him.
Here's to Checo and following him whenever he goes next 🤍
