I’ve been thinking about Mel’s braid
I know everyone would like to think something went down in that break room.
1. They wouldn’t actual do anything while at work(this ain’t greys anatomy).
2. Mel still thinks Frank is married. Cause he’s divorced obviously. She would not sleep with a married man esp one she is so found of. She not going to “ruin” his life.(I repeat, This isn’t greys anatomy)
3. If something did happen, like a hug. It would have been shown!
It didn’t happen but this is why we have fanfics.

This is what I wanted to say
I think the braid being messed up in the scene after was intentional! Just like Frank not wearing his wedding ring in the first scene of the season that we see him in was intentional! The crew at the PITT would not miss these things!
I think Mel’s braid is messy after the break room scene because
She has finally let out the truth of how she feels to someone who listens and cares and understands! (I love Dana and her relationship with Mel but all Mel got was basically “suck it up kid let’s get back to work”)
The braid is loose now because she isn’t wound so tightly anymore!!
She is opening up to her friend and so she feels safe. Her braid reflects that! Just like Frank’s loose ass ring reflects his broken marriage!
I think we just might see her hair slowly loosen over the seasons as she unwinds a little and gets closer to Langdon.
