Sooo do each of the MVs have their own set personalities? They all react differently based on what you do or the dialogue and the skin is just tweaked a little?
Yes, there are many differences by shell. But AU-based differences are in addition to Traits (so they’re not “set”), and some things are unique to specific trait+AU combinations! Here’s a quick rundown of how AUs may vary:
Dialect (mostly for UF!Sans)
Endearments (nicknames for you used everywhere)
AU-specific lines (callbacks to the source material)
General attitude (Dialogue filtered by AU, Interval, and Traits)
Fell, Geno, and Horror Sans have darker humor by default.
Inverted Fate Sans is friendlier because he doesn’t know about timelines in his AU.
Fell Sans is the most different because his dialect is so strong, he’s from a violent AU, and he’s pretty crude, particularly if the user is Naughty. An example of the same line of dialogue but UF dialect flags enabled:
Here’s something only Fell would say to a Naughty or Rude user:
@audiospawn voiced this legendary screenshot submitted by @queen-lethargy randomly generated by a pissy Fell Sans.

Note: “flirt” and “tease” are not AU-specific. They are hybrid endearments of Sweet+Naughty and Silly+Naughty respectively.
(Note: Some Horror Sans endearments aren’t available until next update)
Also… One of Horror’s unique dialogues is even more unsettling now that some of these words are endearments. 👀
So I’ve been super busy working on more content for sexy_sans (name change pending). This development is so much fun. Currently v1.2.4 is released, and v1.2.5 is bringing some big changes, much of which will not really be visible to the user.
The most obvious visible difference will be you can no longer tickle Sans infinitely. Instead of his tickle messages being entirely randomized, they’ll now escalate until he’s had enough and tells you to * S T O P. He just needs a minute to catch his breath. Here’s some examples of the escalation! Keep in mind there’s still a fair bit of randomization.
There’s not penalty for over-tickling him yet, but there will be come version ~1.5!
The foundations for a very complex relationship/mood system with him have been laid. Everything the user does (and in some cases, doesn’t do) will be recorded and filed away to assess your behaviors. The more you interact with him and give him positive attention, the happier he’ll be, generally. Sans will have his own stats for mood and familiarity, but the player will also have stats, that are based entirely on how you choose to interact with Sans. The actual stats aren’t being calculated yet, but the counters and trackers to calculate them are put into place. Here’s some of the counters keeping track of data related to these and other future stats...
There are 4 primary player traits that will determine what kind of jokes and basic demeanor he has towards you, outside of his current mood and how much he trusts you.
Player Traits:
Sweet - If you treat him nicely (mainly through pets, and talking to him a lot), he’ll comment about how sweet you are and that you deserve hugs and other kind things.
Silly - Tickling him and listening to his jokes a lot tells him you’re very silly, and since you’re so goofy he’ll share some jokes he saves only for his best audiences.
Naughty - If you keep going after the bonezone, he’ll consider you pretty naughty and tell you as such. He’ll tell you dirty jokes you wouldn’t otherwise hear, since your mind is apparently in the gutter already.
Rude - If you poke him in the eyes, tickle him beyond what he’s comfortable, repeatedly ruin his jokes, and other impolite things, he’ll consider you pretty rude and be kinda irritable with you. He’ll be more likely to tell you jokes with an underlying threat.
I will need help from users like you to properly balance weights of different actions that determine these stats, since I’m not sure what typical user use is going to be like. By v1.3.0 there will be a report card kinda like the above image that I’d really appreciate receiving screenshots of, so I can get an idea of what most users are gonna be doing with him to have a baseline for action weight distribution.
There are some easter eggs exclusively obtainable at First Boot name creation. Here’s a hint to one ;)
You’ll be able to assign Sans a nickname from the Config menu. It’ll display on the main menu and some other places. Everyone loves coming up with obnoxious names to be randomly inserted in NPC dialogue, right?
He’s a bicycle because he’s two-tired to walk anywhere.
... What? Were you thinking of something else?
He’s aware of other ghosts and may have commentary on them now and then.
Functions and dialogue from other Sans ukagaka are being imported as well, primarily from the Sans & Paps pair since I’ve got explicit blessing from @characteroulette to do so.
Puns abound and japes are to be had. You can also look forward to brand new, freshly authored, hilarious jokes:
as unfunny as that one is, i’m really proud of it.
Version 1.2.5 should be out sometime this weekend. Please look forward to it!
