Hi Ms. Targcooker, I've been meaning to ask you how did your username occur to you? I know this isn't particularly a question of your fanfictions, but the idea settled into my mind and I think your username is fantastic. Thank you for answering in advance!

no but seriously here's what my user means:

targ – from targaryen / cooker – from Olivia Cooke

(I think Olivia once mentioned in a short interview that she calls her fans cookers, but my memory is not my greatest weapon so I might actually be 99% incorrect lol anyways,,,)

edit: i was in fact incorrect and she is the one who is nicknamed cookers by her manager (i think its her manager idk yeah!)

Also, what does it mean?

Well, it’s like this... There is a reoccurring character in one of my fave book series by Wen Spencer (she’s one of my fave authors), an elf whose name in English is Stormsong. One of the Main characters calls her Discordant (or something close to that) a few times. I really admire Stormsong, and she and one other elf are my favorites after the Main Female character (and title character of the first book, Tinker) and her cousin. And well bedlam was the closest thing that fit since I couldn’t use stormsong since it was already in use and I didn’t want to use Discordant (not that i checked to see if it was available or not) because of my own reasons.

Username: Explained

So earlier today I posted a tag game that @sleepwalkingelite @zaffrenotes and @ooo-barff-ooo tagged me in and the first question was “where does your username come from” and I answered that it comes from a poem I wrote. I didn’t want to share it in that post because it’s long, but @brightpinkpeppercorn asked to see it so here it is!

Purpose

I stand on the shore of the celestial sea

The horizon spreading out

Towards the end of existence

Everything, after all, has an end.

I take a few steps, leave my trail in the stardust

Not imprints of my feet

But imprints of my soul

Like breadcrumbs

That lead only to me.

I stop as black

Shimmering waves wash over my toes

Rushing past my ankles

I turn in terror

And watch as my breadcrumbs

My soul prints

Are erased.

Everything dims

Goes dark

I am ending

Over.

I try to weep

But I am Nothing

And Nothing cannot cry.

Then-

It happens so silently-

Explanation of my username:

'bart'- the first 4 initials of my last name and also my Dad's favourite Simpsons character

'girl'- my Dad calls me his "little girl", especially when I was younger

'01'- I am the first born child in my household (so basically I'm the oldest of 3 sisters)

So basically my username is three separate parts put together into one nifty name. It has nothing to do with my gender, sexuality, ethnicity, relationship status etc. Just has to do with my Dad and sisters.

What did ereity mean?

When I first set up my tumblr, I was having trouble thinking up a name, so my friends told me what she did, which was to put two words into one of those generators that mushed them together into one word. So ereity was the combination of the word serenity and of the word threshold.

Serenity was one of those state of minds that I strive to achieve, but never really reach except on very rare, special occasions. Threshold is one of my favorite words because it means it’s meanings. On one hand, it’s the start of something. Like the threshold of a door. But it also means the maximum amount of something that something else can take without changing/becoming something new/exploding. I felt the combination of the two tells a story. It’s the beginning of a journey to achieve serenity, as well as the point in which you are so close in reaching that goal but you’re not quite there. I feel like that every single day. Everything is just out of arm’s reach. The things that I set out for just barely fall short of the mark. . 

You Make No Bones is a song by one of my favorite bands of all time. Alfie. If you’ve heard of them, I will marry you. They put out of of the most complete albums that I’ve ever listened to called If You Happy With You Need Do Nothing. As a writer, the advice that people always give me is to be honest. As a human being, I feel like the reason that there is such a disconnect between people is that everyone is so defensive about who they think they are, so they never freely express their feelings about another person because they are afraid of hearing in return what somebody thinks of them, which could potentially throw off the aesthetic design they’ve constructed in order to make sense of their world. Everybody is too content with who they think they are that they do not want to hear who other people think they are. So we have a bunch of people that have never come to terms with who they are and how they treat others and because of that, people never reach their full potential. They hang right below the threshold. The also never really connect with somebody else. And because of that nobody can really love anyone else. The only way you can love somebody is if you know everything about them and they know everything about you. So. That’s that. Make no bones.
