User's manual anon here again, consider this: Someone who snuck into The Unit Factory (or perhaps was dropped off there, to be gotten rid of?) and stumbled onto the production line, and treated like a blank unit, completely remade in whatever image The Unit Factory decided for them, with no feature left unaltered. As a bonus, what if they were the wrong height, and their limbs had to be replaced? What if the Unit they were turned into isn't even human-passing? What if it were an object head, or a furry? Imagine that. Imagine the pain they may have went through, being made so thoroughly inhuman. And that isn't even the end of the torment!!
Funny enough, I was rotating something like this in my mind a few months back. claw arms ripping out an arm that healed wrong, and a new one being screwed on into place.
