A wumpy Chrissy Lives! AU // Chrissy successfully gets some drugs from Eddie, but after the nightmares and hallucinations don’t stop, so she ends up asking him for more help. Together they piece together what’s going on with the other deaths in Hawkins, meet up with the gang to figure out Vecna and the connection with Chrissy. They spend a lot of time together, sometimes she even stays over at his place because she doesn’t want to go home. Near the end of the week, after a close call with Vecna nearly taking her, Chrissy finally spills her feelings all over the place and decides to leave because it’s easier than staying and potentially forcing him to watch her die.

Chrissy knew that she shouldn’t get too comfortable here. She already was, but this was more than that. This was her running here after nearly dying, not wanting to be left alone and not wanting to be around anyone else. Her life had been changing too quickly and she felt completely out of control.

But Eddie? He was always trying to make her laugh and she felt safe. It was too good to be true. She had that deep seeded fact in the back of her head, nagging at her: she needed to leave before…before…

“Eddie?” She stepped out of the bathroom in his place after changing into a borrowed sweatshirt and cleaning up herself a little. A gash on her forehead and a raging headache was the only thing left from her close encounter.

“Yeah?” He glanced up from where he was digging handfuls of HoneyComb right out of the box. He’d immediately come back after the ordeal and smoked half a joint just to calm himself down. “You okay?”

Chrissy lifted a half-melted ice pack against the wound and winced. “Um…can I talk to you?”

“Sure.”

She probably should have waited until the morning when he was more…clear minded, but if she didn’t say something now, it would eat away at her. And she already had enough things eating at her. Though when he looked at her with those big brown eyes she got nervous.

She just had to spit it out.
