Here in Ha'apai we got our first glass crusher from #expleco thanks to the generous funding of #peacecorps. Throughout the Kindgom of Tonga there is currently no waste management system, most of the glass gets thrown out to sea or ends up broken in the bush. Thousand upon thousands of glass bottles are generated each year by resorts, but there is nowhere for the bottles to go. By setting up strategic glass catchement centers we can eliminate glass waste and use the recycled glass to help rebuild Ha'apai after the devastation of cyclone Ian.
