getting into formula racing as a whole is really just "there's a race today." "oh shit, there's actually ten different ones. and i only have time for maybe two, and timezones prohibit me from watching like three of them anyways." "man, where do i watch these races again *goes through all of the 20 youtube channels, tv channels etc. where races are streamed*"
Driver Profile - Kaylee Countryman
Kaylee Countryman (born January 3rd, 2010) is an American racer from Chandler, Arizona. She is the only child of her parents, Aaron and Telle Van Trojen, who own a finance company, Geneva Financial, who are Kaylee’s main sponsor. When Kaylee was 12, she received a pass to go go-karting for a week as a birthday present, which is how she first got into karting.
First competing in local karting, she moved quickly to American national competitions in 2023, like the national Rotax Trophy. Kaylee also started training at Podium Club Atessa - a private racing track that supports her training stateside. It is also where she received her first license to race open-wheel in America.
Starting in 2024, Kaylee participated in both karting races, and small open wheel races with a RUSH SR in podium club races before moving on to USF Juniors with Exclusive Autosport, which is an official feeder series of IndyCar in America for 2025
Kaylee competed in USF Juniors in 2025, finishing 16th out of 27 drivers with a highest placement of 8th. Kaylee also competed in 2 USF 2000 races - a step above USF Juniors - also with Exclusive Autosport. She also participated in regional series such as Atlantic USF Juniors, where she finished 3rd overall.
After her seasons in USF Junior and 2000 were completed, Kaylee was invited to participate in the 2025 F1 Academy rookie test at Navarra. However, Kaylee competed as a replacement for Courtney Crone - the 2025 Haas driver - rather than amongst the other rookie contenders, and it is unknown where she placed. Her performance must have impressed Haas, as she was signed to the team for 2026 as their F1 Academy driver.
To prepare for her 2026 drive in the F1 Academy, Kaylee competed in the F4 UAE series, where she finished 45th. She will also compete once again in USF 2000 this year for 4 of their races.
We have practice, qualifying and races today from St Pete~
There's going to be track action over the next six hours so enjoy~
Another huge barrel roll crash just happened in USF 2000, glad the driver is ok..
