This is literally a self portrait but it's also indicative of my current interest in travel. I'm constantly trying to balance my responsibilities with my desire to see new places.

This portrait is reflective of who I am because I believe I keep myself open to the friends and family I have in this city, so I make myself accessible to those around me. This is the location outside my apartment where I feel I've shot tens of portraits, waited for many friends to stop by and meet up, and opened myself up to Atlanta.

My artistic style would be best described as postive and optimistic. I just want to inspire people to be happy, do what they love, and enjoy life. We will always have people trying to weigh us down, but we have to perservere and continue to look forward.

How I define my personal sense of fashion is with boots, sweaters, bright colors and patterns. I like my clothing to reflect my unique personality so I'm all about mixing and matching pieces. I love to pair vintage items with new items and I love pairing unexpected colors with prints. I allow myself to try new things with both my art and fashion sense. It keeps it fun for me.

Get the look here.
When I first started out as an artist, I was constantly comparing myself to the people I looked up to. I was so afraid to share anything I had done, because it wasn't even close to what my idols were creating. When I finally realized that I was harming myself and my growth as an artist by comparing myself, I started to grow quickly. Everyone has their own story, their own influences, and their own experiences. Comparing ourselves to others is one of the most harmful things we can do to our growth as artists and as people in general.

"How do I define my artistic style? Varied. I love trying new things and I believe it's important to give yourself the freedom to take risks. I enjoy shooting such a wide range of opjects, from portraits, to arrangements, to suble little moments and stories I encounter along the way. The diversity keeps it interesting and fresh."
