And now I've finally gone through the last of that big batch of demos, so here goes:
Quantum Witch might be ok, but probably not for me. I could get past the very wonky controls if I were invested in it enough, but there was way too much "ah, I see you've played Video Games before" referential humor too early on before I had reason to care about this game itself yet.
Nova Hearts seemed like it was just getting to the point where it might be interesting, but then it crashed so hard I had to hold the power button to reset. Still kind of curious what its deal is, but it's not a high priority. Also it somehow has the longest load times of anything I've played this year, like to the point that I wondered more than once if it was broken.
Goodbye Seoul is definitely the most compelling of this group so far. The pixel art animation reminds me of the original Prince of Persia games, and I'm very curious what's actually going on in post-apocalyptic Seoul.
Tavern Talk seems fun, but I expected as much. I didn't spend a ton of time with the demo because I can already tell I'll just end up playing the full game eventually at some point when I grab it on sale.
Usual June is the one that got me downloading all these demos in the first place, and it ended up being the last one I played. It seems like there's a good chance it'll be good when it's done, but it's definitely not done cooking. I know polish and optimization comes toward the end of the dev cycle so this is not representative of the final product, but right this minute it does *not* run particularly well.
