I just… their tastes are SO extreme and just not nice to my tastebuds and they get put in everything like when you order a burger and the menu says ‘tomatoes and pickles and cheese’ and then you get a burger with those PLUS onions…. like…. IF I KNEW THEY’D BE ON THERE I’DVE SAID SOMETHING WHILE ORDERING? WHY AREN’T THEY ON THE MENU??

Plus everytime I cook food with friends or roommates they guilttrip me over the fact that I don’t want those in the dish we’re making because I DONT LIKE IT and if they don’t like mushrooms there sure as hell won’t be any mushrooms either so why can’t you just accept that??? and they’re always like “but it isn’t complete without [garlic/onions]” well, we’ll put some more other seasoning in it and we’ll all be fine trust me. 

The worst part is when they say “But you barely even taste it?” first of all: WHY DO YOU PUT IT IN THERE ANYWAY IF YOU DON’T TASTE IT???????? and second of all: Well maybe YOU don’t taste it the way I do and the way I do is like killing me so why don’t we just leave it for this time alright.

I had the exact same reaction to his Deepwater Horizon movie. Why!!! Fuck this! As a Louisianian, I sat in the cinema as that trailer came on and basically immediately began spitting vitriol. All my British friends were so confused. It’s absolutely awful when these kinds of tragedies are made into a profit, but, yeah, like you said- when it’s about where you’re from and especially when it treats the subject with no delicacy and even glorifies the people who caused it ������ I feel you on that
