Also referred to the as the Wall-Climbing Charm, once cast on a person or creature they will gain the ability to climb up walls and other solid surfaces. Originally created by Penelopi Otto during the Italian Renaissance in order to scale a giant mural she had been creating for the Noble Chanalli Family’s estate. Charm Researchers have found that this spell sprouts microscopic hairs all across the casted, including their clothing, which is what grants the effortless climbing ability. A common outcome for a failed casting is for the target to have an excess adhesion to them, having anything they touch or bump into stick to them, in a similar fashion to the Sticky Hex.
In the modern age, this spell has found itself in the use of archeologist, thieves, and the adventurous. The mountainous Wizarding village of Newsham is known to host a yearly mountain scaling competition where this charm is by far the most utilized as contestants race up a tall cliff while avoiding all types of obstacles. Another fun use of this spell can be found at The Jolly Dolly, a New Orleans Wix Bar. In order to optimize space the owners utilize this spell to seat guest along the ceilings and walls. Other enchantments are present to ensure a lack of fainting from being upside down for extended periods and make the suspended seating feel comfortable and natural to its patrons. Though The Jolly Dolly owners have never given away these additional spells used, most likely to assure competitors do not copy this strategy. Though one can assume spatial and gravitational charms are heavily involved.
