Hi! I don’t mean this to come off as hateful or anything because I am in love with your works and your writing, but something that throws me off a lot when reading your fics is that the reader is incredibly submissive?? Sure, she displays extreme kindness to a fault, she’s soft and sweet and I love that, but at the same time, I want to see her be witty, be sarcastic, dark and snarky and actually make the boys think “woah, that’s pretty badass”. That’s mostly the reason why Until The Last Star Falls is my favourite fic of yours to date. I love a sweet and soft main character but that can become boring and even annoying at times. So if you ever do post future works, as a fan, I think I’d really love to see a more stronger reader that actually reflects people more accurately in real life and makes the story seem so much more intriguing. Nothing wrong with what you’re doing what you’re currently doing though! I hope you’re doing well :))
i often write my readers in that sense because it also reflects a reality that there are people who are weak and vulnerable in the best way possible. i love writing soft characters but yes, i get what you mean! i've actually gotten so many ideas during this whole break for stories where reader has more power and is more playful than my usual characters. of course she's still sweet and kind but i am starting to expand outwards and giving her more authority in moments that may make you proud of reader and might make you go "yes, that's our queen."
