If you are going through some kind of pain right now, please know that it doesn't last forever. You will heal. And the "not so OK" will turn to "quite OK", then to "pretty OK" and eventually, "SUPER OK!" soon too. Jazakunnallah kakak kakak ♥️ And thank you UTM Accounting Club peeps! 🌸 “Adik, okay tak tadi? Sesat tak masuk maze?” “Okay kak! Iman saya kuat” *sambil tepuk dada* 😂😅 #asiahcamp2017 #mycare #negararahmah #thepurge #escapethismadness #UTMAC #UTMAccountingClub #UTMAwesome
Grad Formal? More like CRAP FORMAL!
Grad formal. What a terrible night. Just when you think graduating means leaving it all behind and moving on, UTMSU had to ruin the night that would close the chapter for many UTM grads. We're not going to ramble on about the logistics but we'll give you a brief break-down of what went on.
1) Buses were late to pick us up to the venue
2) We arrived and many of us realized that the venue was identical to the one UTMAC hosted their formal (it was well done by the way), which raised our hopes.
3) It took forever to get inside and be served.
4) We had to line up in SINGLE FILE at the open bar
5)We were limited to ONE DRINK PER PERSON at an OPEN BAR!!!!!!
6) Regardless we made the most out of our night but this was by far the worst grad formal we have attended. (Went to the last year's and the venue wasn't amazing but the catering was top notch)
7) They didnt even allow the buses to stay later since we arrived late thanks to UTMSU.
When you mess up an important event like this it's not just an event you're messing up. You are ruining memories for people who have shaped our campus life for 3+ years. That's a lot of karma to play with. Make sure UTMSU has nothing to do with your wedding reception. It could get worse. Not to mention, when you pay $55 a head and something like this happens, that's money down the toilet. But of course the union knows all about wasting students' money. Many Big Word on Campus writers were on site and to be honest we should have had our own pre drinking session before we were lining up for one drink. By the way the line was looking, we thought one drink was all we were going to get that night. Has anyone seen the film Oliver Twist? If so, you all would know how we felt that night.
