I think a lot of aus have lore depending on its development process, it’s more of a case of if it developed past the designs point is could be when lore is made or maybe lore is made before the design and if the creator gets that far if they are still interested in the au or before something happens.
Underpatch as a example which is G!Sans and G!Papyrus au was going to have lore, but their creator Boruboru had unfortunately deactivated their Tumblr before we could get their origins. So sometimes you got to make up your own for such cool characters as a result.
Chesstale as another example which is a discontinued au got a basic concept down and ideas with small lore. Got the designs and roles and world idea down but not much lore to it.
I know Reapertale have lore to it though it’s best to ask what the creator consider canon lore as I had the unfortunate mistake of taking every text post to archive before finding out to take those with a grain of salt.
