this honestly disgusts me so much, that the news is focusing on the fact that he's muslim, and that it's "an act of terrorism", when what he really is, is a homophobic straight man who saw red over seeing two men kissing and committed a terrible act because he's a HOMOPHOBE, like almost every single straight man in the world
this is exactly it, there’s so many posts pointing out that he didn’t even follow Muslim beliefs (idk if theyre true or not), but the mass media is just trying to censor out homophobia and use religion as a scapegoat - which is literally only inflaming the already sensitive situations of recent terrorist attacks (like the Paris attacks, also other attacks put into motion by ISIS), while also causing people who sincerely follow the Muslim beliefs who don’t hurt anyone so much more trouble than they already deal with on a daily basis.
