We build the Orbit turntable. It's simple, affordable & sounds great.

As many of you know I'm one of those obnoxious people who still listens to vinyl records (in my defence, I've been doing so since I was, like, 2 years old) and as a result over the past year have had a few friends interested in getting into vinyl ask me what they can do to get started.

While vintage equipment is always your best bet, last year I treated myself to a new turntable from the folks at U-Turn Audio, and I couldn't be happier. Their entry level turntable will cost you about the same as one of those Crosleys you'll find at HMV, Sunrise or Urban Outfitters, but will be of much higher quality (and look a heck of a lot nicer).

You can really go down the rabbit hole when it comes to the vinyl hobby, but I couldn't be happier with my U-Turn table. So if you're serious about it, check them out! Hand made to order in Boston by awesome people.
