Hey, so, I know you aren't like an expert, but you have ADHD, yes? Well, I've been hearing alot about RSD and I thought it was just social anxiety that makes you (you as in me)... like that? That's just what I figured, maybe some of the symptoms line up or something, or I'm just misunderstanding the condition as a whole. -Uyd

hey! i have autism, not ADHD, but they’re similar and have overlap, so i know a little about RSD. autistic people have something similar called social cues illiteracy.

as i understand it, social anxiety is a feeling of anxiety or discomfort when faced with a social task that is scary or daunting, or when you think others perceive you as being wrong, making mistakes, or being out of place.

Rejection sensitivity dysphoria is more that any criticism or perceived criticism you receive makes you feel like the person hates you, secretly or not. there’s more to RSD than that, but again, I’m not an expert.

there is overlap in symptoms and it’s possible you could have both. if you’re concerned, i would suggest seeing a therapist or doing research online. if you’d just like to talk through things, feel free to come talk to me again
