Watching footage of those Hilltop thugs get more and more bold not just in the West Bank but Israel proper is downright disconcerting. I take it's a matter of time before they turn their attention away from Arabs and Armenians and towards Jewish Israelis who aren't in lockstep with their ideology.

All the while the talks between my own deranged government and the Islamic Republic explicitly doesn't talk about the Iranian people. Oil and nukes? Yep. Actual well-being of those most affected? Nope. Which... if I were conspiratorial-minded, I'd think that this was a whole setup between Trump and the Islamic Republic to consolidate the latter's power.

oh honey, i'm sad to say, they already have. there are programs where Israeli volunteers come to help Palestinians farmers and serve as a protection and a line of defense against those thugs. Just by the virtue of helping those people, those thugs have attacked multiple volenteers.

I do indulge in consecrations, but the reality is far more tragic here, no one gives a fuck about the iranian people

sometimes I think about how adaptability is humanity's strongest power, but also our fatal flaw. A human thrown into a situation will do anything to adjust themselves to the situation so we could survive. We will change our clothing, our behavior, our perceptions of reality, we will rewire our own brain, change our eating habits, develop patterns- in the pursuit of survival, nothing is sacred. In order to adjust, we will change.

Our own bodies are built for it.

A change in the environment can cause changes within a generation- people who made it through famine will have children that preserve fat better. A child born in a cold climate will be able to tolerate it no matter the climate their parents came from.

But sometimes it's even less.

We can adjust within a lifetime. People can learn to survive and even thrive is situations that they considered unbearable. Our bodies can learn within month how to function in a completely different environment. Our DNA can evolve within our lifetime in order to adjust.

We adjust, we adapt, when we are not capable to handle a situation we make ourselves capable in an alarmingly fast pace. We survive. We will shed our past in a blink to adjust to a new present.

But the cost- do you think about the cost?

What do we lose when we shed our skin?

What is this is not a situation we should adjust to?

what if we must rebel and refuse to accept this new reality?

there's a war going on, but the blog is gonna slow down as I am currently having antibiotics and fluids pushed through IV. I'm not gonna die from that, but I feel like shit, so no insightful blogging for a while (will update if they take me down to the emergency bunker hospital).

Just to get something clear, I am an anarchist and I stand by my beliefs, but I am also a pragmatists. I might not like the system and want it gone, but you work with what got and not what you don't have. I will talk with you theory and ethics all you want, but when it comes to it, your philosophy is less important to me then actually doing the activism.

Be pragmatic in your activism, dream all you want, but nothing is gonna happen if you don't work with what you got.

So an acquaintance of mine is stationed around the interrogation room of imprisoned Palestinians, and last week I got to hear about how Hamas treat people inside Gaza in vivid details. and let me tell you, this is carved in the back of my mind now.

I feel fucking sick.

They told me of people that worked in Israel for years and hate the Jews so much they wanted the October 7th to happen. People that are so full with hate, that they will sacrifice everything to kill Jews.

They told me of people who went with it because it was giving information or loosing their family and they choose their own family.

They told me what happens to those that do not enforce the propaganda

This kinda mentally broke my acquaintance BTW. And they haven't told me most of it.

Israel should get as many innocent from Gaza as possibly out of the battle zone, raze Hamas to the ground, and then help rebuild Gaza and let the people back.

That fucking siege was supposed to be a "temporary solution". It has been 16 years.

Hamas was an asset for Natanyahu so he allowed them to grow while using that growth to tighten the hold.

Israel did not create Hamas, but it sure allowed it to grow to this point.

We thought we could just leave Gaza and let things solve themselves.

We were wrong.

Hamas has to go. Hamas must pay, figuratively, literally and monetarily.

If one good thing is coming out of the way people react to my posts, is that my moral OCD is being desensitized. The urge to appear morally perfect and appease others is evaporating from my body. I will stick to my morals and my activism and you can choke on your wrongness.

so in the past month I was involved in a traffic collision (not an accident, the idiot that hit me was an idiot and is to blame), and landed in the ER (second time in 6 months, what is my luck). and you know what? The bureaucracy around it suck almost as much as being in a traffic collision itself

I am physically as good as can be, I got out extremely lucky, no massive long term injuries (at least nothing popped up by now), but it still suck.
