The King and the Maiden - Thorin and Ninde [Closed RP]

It had been about a year since the battle for Erebor ceased, making the dwarves of Thorin’s company the victors of the battle after defeating Azog and his orcs. Not long after the victory, it was declared that Thorin, son of Thrain, would be the next Lord of Erebor, King Under the Mountain. Word spread fast throughout Middle Earth at the new King that would be crowned after most of Erebor was built back into it’s former glory once more.

As the word reached Imladris and it’s people, Lord Elrond had decided that it would be best to go to the coronation, coming a day or so early to give his counsel if the now King Thorin would accept it. He decided that he would take his youngest daughter with him to Erebor, knowing that the trip would be something Ninde would be interested in.

As the Lord of Imladris, his daughter, and a small group arrived in Erebor after their journey, the sounded the horn to the guards of Erebor, announcing their arrival and awaiting entry into the dwarven city.

(An envelope arrives; it is slightly crumpled and dirty.There is no seal. Inside is a letter. It is slightly smudged from the wet ink, and some might call the style of writing chickenscratch if they saw it- others might find it nice. Either way it’s not the easiest thing to read, but it reads as such:

Dear Thorin,

I heard the meeting between yourself and Thranduil went well- or at least, as well as it could’ve gone between elves and dwarves. Your nephews have told me what they could, and I’m proud you managed to not strangle him. I surely would’ve boosted you up to reach his- there are a few words hastily scratched out- neck had he tried anything. Erebor and Dale will be the two strongest kingdoms in the East. Simply think of that every time you must treat with Thranduil because it must kill him inside being unable to produce goods or be a good trade ally and fall behind us. Ha!

Anyways, you looked absolutely exhausted our last meeting. Kingly, but exhausted. As a friend I say this- you should really rest. It certainly must’ve been tiresome being on your toes  careful around him.

I have a proposition. Come meet me in Dale in a few days time. I will write instructions on how to find my abode on the back of this letter. Wear simple clothes- something you do not mind getting dirty, and meet me a little before the sun rises. Early, yes, but it is the best time to do what I have in mind. 

Even if you don’t come, I still wish for you to rest. Dale and Erebor thank you for putting up with that elf- now thank yourself and get some sleep.
