thinking about how uzui abandons the use of the second sword after the entertainment district arc despite being capable to still use that second sword and keep up with an upper rank demon with poison in his body + severe blood loss + not being able to cleanly breathe + a freshly lost hand (aka his adaptability is remarkable)
in the anime hashira training arc, he uses a single practice sword, though i’d assumed it was for the purposes of training (even though fighting a dual wielder would be a worthwhile challenge… my gripes about the training arc aside). revisiting this panel from later on though confirms that he was prepared to battle with a single sword
it is a shame to me that his ability and prowess are lessened after he steps down as a hashira. hmmmmmmmmm. in a way that’s good for uzui’s sake; that’s kind of the point of him stepping down (though despite the decision being selfish to some extent, there’s no arguing that losing a hand and an eye are not debilitating losses). perhaps i feel his ability has been a bit undermined.
I really love that Tengen has his head and neck covered in bandages.
It's so sad that it was there for only one panel in the manga, because it looks so cool?!
I will always draw him with the bandages instead of just his usual ponytail.
it also reminds me of his very first concept idea. So many people call it ass but I geniuenly really like some aspects of it.
